National Hindi news channel ABP News on Tuesday aired 'Operation Dalal', a news report, that exposed a certain raid by Income tax department on May 27 at Delhi based middleman and power broker Anuj Poddar's house.

In a surprising twist, the ABP News report revealed hidden relation between Anuj Poddar and Assam BJP Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

After successfully accomplishing the raid, Income Tax department has decided to send Anuj Poddar's case file to CBI and Enforcement Directorate as well.

Meanwhile, Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reacted in the matter by denying the allegation which was raised against him. Sarma blamed Assamese media for the news now going viral in Assam.

While he denied ever knowing or having any connection with Anuj Poddar when a ABP News reporter questioned him, later he went on to say that, "It was nothing but a mere exaggeration by Pratidin Time".
