Annual Ambubachi mela comes to an end

Pratidin Bureau

The four-day Ambubachi Mela comes to an end today. Devotees will get a chance to offer their prayers inside the Kamakhya Temple after the doors had been opened at around 6 AM.

Devotees have already started flooding the gates of the temple to seek blessings of Goddess Kamakhya, who is believed to be in her annual menstruation course during these four days.

The doors of the Kamakhya Temple have been opened for the devotees after 'Nitya Puja' at sunrise.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the temple this morning, after the doors had opened, to seek blessings of the Goddess and prayed for the development and well-being of all.

"May Maa Kamakhya's divine blessings bring happiness and peace in everyone's life", wished Sonowal.
