AKRSU Calls Assam Bandh Today Against UTC

The All Koch Rajbonshi Students Union (AKRSU), Gokul Barman faction has called for a 12-hour Assam Bandh on Monday against the formation of UTC.

The bandh hits normal life in some parts of the state as protestors blocked roads and burnt tyres in the highways to mark the bandh called by AKRSU.

The members of the students' body have also burnt the effigies of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

The bandh supporters in Bongaigaon have burnt tyres in the National Highway 31 under the aegis of Dakshin Anchalik AKRSU.

On the other hand, the members of AKRSU and ABMSU have also protested by burning tyres on the roads in Kalaigaon.

The students union have also called BTAD bandh for an indefinite time.
