65th Wildlife Week celebrated in Assam

On the eve of the 65th Wildlife Week, an inaugural program was organized in the Assam State Zoo on Tuesday.

The program was graced and inaugurated by Assam Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya. Wildlife Week is celebrated all over the country from October 2 to 8 every year with the view to preserve the fauna means the animal life of India.

Similarly, the 65th Wildlife week has been celebrated in Pabitara National Park also. A cultural rally has been organised by the National park authority which was led by Forest Officer Mukul Tamuli, where the students of various schools of the region had taken part. The rally was inaugurated by the Gata King of historic Mayong kingdom Mr. Taranikanta Konwar.
