60 gold biscuits looter Dispur SI surrenders

The Sub-Inspector of Dispur Police Station, who fled with 60 seized gold biscuits, has finally surrendered before police on Wednesday evening.

Identified as Nipu Kalita, the SI of Dispur police had been absconding since January 15, after looting 60 gold biscuits from Dispur police station.

Earlier, Dispur police had registered a case against Kalita and launched search operation. Dispur police informed that statements of three people in this connection had been recorded under CrPC 164. They confessed that they have helped the SI in stealing the gold biscuits from the police station.

Meanwhile, Kalita is being grilled by the police officers at Dispur Police Station.
