The 126th birth anniversary of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan has been observed at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakhetra on Wednesday. Like bygone years, the day is being organized across the state of Assam. Assam Government has also organized the day with enthusiasm.

14 higher secondary school teachers, 20 lower primary school teachers were felicitated on this occasion. 10 best performing schools were also felicitated. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Labour & Welfare Minister Pallab Lochan Das were also present. "Give us time; we will do everything for teachers. Keep patience, we will fulfill everything." said Sonowal.

"We will launch a grievance and Redress cell for teachers to lodge their complaints. Instead of coming to Guwahati, they will able to file complaints through this cell. Teachers'- guardians' meeting will be mandatory." – said Siddhartha Bhattacharya.
