306 Schools to be Provincialized: Siddhartha Bhattacharyya

Assam Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharyya on Wednesday announced that 306 lower and upper primary schools will be provincialized.

Thegovernment has also decided 2515 posts of teachers will also be provincialized.This was announced by the education minister on the ongoing Assam Assemblysession.

Thelegislative assembly also welcomes the move of the education department. The educationminister further stated that the teachers' posts will be provincialized in thecurrent financial year.

Bhattacharyya also said that the teachers who don't have the eligibility will have to acquire the qualification adding that they will get five years' time to attain their qualification.

Theminister further added that it is compulsory to attain the qualification withinthe stipulated time and if they can't acquire the qualification then theyshould serve as a tutor.

He said that if the teachers can't acquire their qualification then they should serve as tutors till their retirement.
