In a tragic incident, a two-year-old child drowned in flash flood on Thursday at Bhutankhuti village in Mushalpur of Baksa district.

The two-year-old Ayush Subba, son of Narbahadur Subba has drowned in the flash floods.

Flash flood has been a burning problem in the state and hundreds of lives have been lost every year due to flash floods. Most of the districts in Assam still reels under flood and the government is least bothered about the rising problem of the people due to flash floods.
