15th Finance Commission on three-day Nagaland visit

The Fifteenth Finance Commission is  on a three-day visit to Nagaland from today.

The 11-membered team, visiting the state for deliberation of distribution of tax proceeds, will be headed by the Commission's Chairman NK Singh.

After reaching Kohima, the Commission will hold meetings with the representatives of the Rural Local Bodies, Urban Local Bodies and Tribal Hohos.

It will meet with the Chief Minister and state government officials tomorrow. A meeting will also be held with the representatives of political parties, trade, industries and Commerce. The team will make a field visit to Touphema-Tourist Village on Thursday before concluding its tour.
