The Press Advisor to the Chief Minister of Assam, Hrishikesh Goswami on Monday said that the work of the house of Rasaraj Lakshminath Bezbarua at Sambalpur has already been started. Goswami said this on the occasion of the 155th birth anniversary of Bezbarua after paying tribute to the legendary's statue at Guwahati Club.
A tribute ceremony has been organized at the statue situated at the Guwahati Club under the aegis of Kamrup Metro district administration.
Law Adviser to the Chief Minister Santanu Bharali, Deputy Commissionerof Kamrup (M) Biswajit Pegu and Press Adviser Hrishikesh Goswami were presentin the programme.
Paying tribute to Rasaraj Bezbarua, DC Biswajit Pegu said that the newgeneration should follow the principles of Bezbarua.
On the other hand, the Sahityarathi Lakshminath Bezbaruah Smriti Raksha Samiti has organized a day-long programme and will also observe the birth anniversary by lighting 155 earthen lamps at 4.30 pm in Guwahati Club. The samiti will also release the book 'Bezbaroa and Sambalpur' written by Deepak Kumar Panda composed in the Assamese, Bengali, and Nepali language. It was also decided to release the book in the Deori language but due to some technical problems, it will not be published in Deori as of now.
