Child suffering from rare disease writes to CM

In an emotional appeal to Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, a 11 year old girl from Tinisukia has sought financial assistance for the treatment of her rare bone disease.

Apsara Das of Tinisukia Gelapukhuri has been suffering from a rare bone disease on her back and requires immediate surgery. The estimated cost of the operation is 11 lakh.

Apsara's mother said that they have sold almost everything for his treatment, adding they are now looking forward for help. "Apsara has a rare bone disease . We got to know of this when she was nine years old. We had admitted her in a hospital in Delhi, but now she needs advanced treatment and we need financial assistance of 11 lakh for her treatment", said the grief stricken mother. "Now, she is continuously under treatment for the last two years. We have sold almost everything for her treatment. We had to sell our vehicle and  we are facing problem even to buy food. We are extremely worried," she added.

She also said that on September 6 she wrote to Sarbananda Sonowal but she didn't  receive any response.
