Renowned journalist and politician Manjit Mahanta, known for his notable contributions to both fields, has sadly passed away.

Mahanta breathed his last at approximately 2 am on Monday, leaving behind a void in the realms of journalism and politics.

His mortal remains will be transported from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) to his residence in Geetanagar.

The final rites of Mahanta will be conducted at Navagraha.
