Nalbari Man Posing as Police Officer Nabbed in Guwahati

The Guwahati Police apprehended an imposter posing as a police officer, sources said on Tuesday.

According to information received, the man identified as Sanjay Baishya extorted money from people claiming to be a police officer. Sanjay hails from Nalbari district’s Belsor locality.

Sources also said that Sanjay misled a person named Injamul Haque and subsequently demanded money from him.

Ultimately, Sanjay Baishya was nabbed by the Jalukbari police on Monday night.
