The body of a woman was recovered under mysterious circumstances in Guwahati’s Birubari area on Sunday.

The woman's body was found near Ramakrishna Path in Birubari, sources said. Panic gripped the people of the area after the body was recovered.

As per reports, the body was recovered underneath a heap of garbage in the Bharalu River flowing through Birubari.

However, the body has not been identified as of now.

Meanwhile, the police has arrived at the spot and a case has been registered.
