The Jalukbari Police on Monday arrested five ATM scammers who had been duping individuals by promising assistance and swapping their cards for fake ones.

As per police sources, the gang operating within the city and nearby Guwahati LGBI airport locality were arrested today based on a tip-off.

The arrested fraudsters have been identified as Mofizuddin, Mokibul Islam, Anwar Hussain, Safiqul Islam and Rafiqul Islam.

The police also recovered 18 fake cards from their possession.
