Guwahati police have arrested an elderly man for allegedly attempting to rape a minor girl on Sunday.

Sources revealed that the accused man was apprehended from Fatasil Ambari area on Sunday night after a complaint was lodged against him by the victim’s family.

The identity of the alleged malefactor is yet to be established.
