In a significant breakthrough, Dispur police on Friday apprehended an individual hailing from Bihar namely Vikas Kumar, in connection with a kidnapping case.

The incident occurred on May 11, when a young woman and a teenage girl were abducted from Six Mile in Guwahati.

As per reports, The victims were taken to Mumbai, where the young woman was forcibly married during this ordeal. The prompt action by the police led to the kidnapper's arrest in Mumbai.
