In a shocking incident, a man's body was found inside a gunny bag within a residence in Guwahati's Maligaon area on Thursday morning.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be established.

The grim discovery was made near a housing complex in Maligaon, suggesting foul play as the victim appears to have been murdered and subsequently placed in the bag by unidentified individuals.

City police arrived at the scene upon being notified and has launched an investigation into the incident.
