On account of Diwali Festivities, the General Administration Department under the Government of Assam has declared a local holiday on November 13, 2023, within the jurisdiction of Kamrup (Metro) District.

As per a notification issued by the office of the Governor of Assam, all state government offices, educational institutes and financial institutions will remain closed on coming Monday.

However, emergency services will continue to function as usual.
