Criminal Escapes Police Custody in Guwahati's Jalukbari

In a shocking incident, an accused fled from the police custody in Guwahati’s Jalukbari on Wednesday, reports said. 

According to sources, the Jalukbari Police took the accused under their custody earlier this morning.

However, the accused, whose identity has not been ascertained, escaped from the clutches of the police.

Meanwhile, the Jalukabri police have launched search operations in the adjoining areas to recapture the fugitive.

In the month of May, a criminal allegedly escaped from police custody in Assam's Rangia while he was about to be placed in the lockup. According to sources, the Rangia police nabbed the accused identified as Xun Ahmed in connection to a theft case.

Despite the police's immediate and strenuous efforts to capture him, Ahmed managed to evade them by jumping into the nearby Borolia River.
