India’s temperature likely to rise by 4.4 degrees

The average temperature of India is projected to increase by 4.4 degrees Celsius states a report by the Centre for Climate Change Research, Ministry of Earth Science which is likely to release on Tuesday by Science and Technology Minister Harsh Vardhan.

The report also added the intensity of the heat waves will rise by 3-4 times. India's average temperature has already risen by 0.7 degrees during 1901-2018. By the end of the 21st century, the temperatures of the warmest day and the coldest night are projected to rise by approximately 4.7 degrees Celsius and 5.5 degrees Celsius. The frequencies of occurrence of warm days and warm nights are projected to increase by 55 percent and 70 percent. The report even stated the intensity of tropical cyclones to increase substantially and sea level to rise by 30 cm.
