Modi biopic hits the theatres today

After several controversies and multiple shifts in its release dates, Vivek Oberoi starrer 'PM Narendra Modi'- the biopic of the Indian Prime Minister has finally hit the theatres today.

The releaseof the film was held back by the Election Commission as it violated the modelcode of conduct (MCC) of elections and under the demand of the various politicalparties as the movie could have influenced the voters.

But therelease date is still apt since it coincides with the triumph victory for thePM.  

The filmchronicles the PM's life and his odyssey as an ordinary man and becoming India's14th Prime Minister in 2014.  

The filmcast includes Vivek Oberoi, Manoj Joshi, Boman Irani andZarina Wahab. The movie was primarily shot in Uttarkashi, Gujrat andMumbai.

The movie is directedby Omung Kumar who is also best known for directingthe Priyanka Chopra starrer Mary Kom.

The biopic releases theatrically in 23 languages. The film is jointly produced by Suresh Oberoi, Sandeep Ssingh and Anand Pandit.
