Aftertalks over wage revision failed to make headway with the Indian Banks'Association (IBA), the bank unions have called for a two-day nationwide strikeon January 31 and February 1.

Thestrike call was given by All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA), AllIndia Bank Officers' Association (AIBOA), BEFI, INBEF, INBOC and BankKarmachari Sena Mahasangh (BKSM). Also, the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU)informed that they will hold a three-day strike from March 11-13.

Itmay be mentioned here that UFBU is seeking at least a 15-percent hike, but theIBA has capped the raise at 12.25 percent.

So, if you have any important work pending at the bank branch then you need to finish it before January 31.
