Amid the ongoing lockdown to curb further spread of coronavirus, Assam police personnel were caught having a late-night party in Guwahati. In this regard, the Assam home department has taken disciplinary action against the personnel by carrying out a punitive reshuffle in the police administration on Wednesday.
An official release stated, Cachar SP Manabendra Deb Roy will be posted as 10th ABPN Commandant.
10th APBN Commandant Goutam Bora will be posted DCP, Guwahati Central.
Guwahati Central DCP Longnit Teron will be posted BIEO SP.
BIEO SP Swapnil will be Sadiya's SP.
In Guwahati city, Noonmati ACP Jinkirani Mahanta has been transferred to Mandakata. The new Noonmati ACP would be 3rd ABPN Co-Commandant Nilotpal Deka.
Barpeta DSP Hemant Das has been transferred to North Salmara as SDPO.
4TH APBN Co-Commandent Jyoti Pegu will be the new ACP of Jalukbari.
BIEO DSP Amrit Choudhry will be the new DSP of Bongaigaon.
Bongaigaon DSP Maitreyee Deka will be the new Panbazaar ACP.
24th APBN DSP Roji Talukdar will be the new ACP of Pan Bazaar's Ladies Police Station.
Other posts have been reshuffled as well.
